Chez has been my personal trainer for 11 years. His training has kept me stronger, more balanced, and fit than I could ever do on my own. Last year I was in a very serious accident that could have cost me my mobility. The orthopedic surgeon who examined me in the emergency room said that I was in such good shape for my age and so active, that he could treat my injuries like he would for a 45-year patient (I was 71) and avoid a knee replacement. My physical therapists in rehab were amazed at how quickly I progressed in my recovery, and said it was a testament to the personal training I had done. Now, nine months after the accident, I have made an almost complete recovery and am back to working out with Chez twice a week. I am so grateful.

The very day I received the diagnosis of osteopenia from my doctor, I drove directly to a well-known chain fitness center to sign up for personal training. After a disappointing string of less-than-reliable personal trainers, I asked the fitness manager to recommend his most responsible and knowledgeable trainer.  That was 2006 and the trainer he recommended was Chez Cabrera.

Chez has been my trainer ever since. Reliable, knowledgeable, helpful, personable - all describe Chez. I guess I’d better add 1) patient, as he puts up with my almost constant whining and 2) flexible, as he’s had to adapt my training regimen each time I’ve managed to injure myself (not during training!). Chez is definitely helping me grow old(er) healthfully and gracefully - okay, maybe not so gracefully!
